Lively Skis Away With NOSSA Title

Lively is looking forward to OFSSA Nordic Skiing this week after cleaning up at NOSSA Nordic Skiing last week. Lively took home the NOSSA banner after both Junior and Senior teams both finished 2nd in their respective sections. The Junior team was pipped into first place by a mere point after a fantastic showing by all the boys, led by Victor Hopper who took out the Junior title coming in 1st place and was supported by Billy Kosar, Tyler Makinen and Ryan Hunter. The senior boys performed equally as admirably in finishing 2nd to Widdifield in the senior Section.

Heart and Stroke 2010

LDSS will be taking part in the 3rd annual Heart and Stroke fundraiser on the 24th of February. Students will attend a morning assembly attended by Mayor Rodriquez and Local member Jacque Barbeau, along with members of the Sudbury and Lively Emergency services. This assembly will be followed by a walk down the main st with the Emergency Services to help raise awareness and funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. This event has grown in strength over the last few years, which is due to the generous support of the Lively community.
