Poirier named Rookie of the Year

Tanner Poirier entered the LDSS walls this year, as a quiet, well mannered student who seems to go about his day without much fuss. What we didn't know was that Tanner is an outstanding wrestler with an abundance of talent, grit and determination. Tanner has been competing for many months in the lead up to the city championships which were held on Wednesday. Tanner went into the bout with a number of impressive performances and walked away from the SDSSAA championships with a 3rd place medal.

The Sitko Name Continues to Shine

Jimmy Sitko seems to be making a big foot print of his own in his very first year at LDSS. Jimmy seems to be following in his older sister's footsteps of producing outstanding sporting results as he picked up 3 gold medals at the SDSSAA Alpine Ski meet at Adanac Ski Hill last week.
