School Council

To assist in improving the quality of publicly-funded education for students in Ontario, it has always been important that parents get involved in their children's education. Studies have shown that involving parents directly in the education of their children improves learning and strengthens the partnership between families and schools.

Through School Councils, parents ensure a greater influence in their children's education. The most important role your School Council has is to ensure that the lines of communication between school and home are open. By utilizing resources such as the daily planner, parents can monitor their child's daily progress and students can develop organizational skills to enhance their learning.

The members of the L.D.S.S. School Council wish students great success in this school year and recommend highly the use of a school planner to help contribute to their educational achievements.
